Najac
Najac is one of the most beautiful small villages in the Midi-Pyrenees part of France. The 13'th century castle overlooks the small village with only one main street along the ridge of the mountain. This scene takes you along the main street and makes you wonder what is at the end of it, while the spectacular castle dominates the skyline. Signed and limited series.

Provençal Vineyard
This is one of 6 paintings that I originally put together for the dining room of Ringside Restaurant (Northeast Portland), and I think carries a lot of impact. The rich grape harvest and workers are set in front of the deep earthy terra cotta hills with a little village in the distance. The wagon in the foreground bears the name ‘Flying Dutchman Winery’ because this particular painting was made for them, and is changed on other paintings. St. Foy
Churches are the focal point of small villages and towns, and I particularly liked this one in southern France. I like to use the natural warmth of terra cotta in the buildings since they are the main focal point of this piece. When I was nearly finished with the drawing I realized that it needed a figure in the foreground, and so I found an old photograph of my French grandmother as a young woman and set her in the painting along with an image of my cat Lucy. I think this painting shows the grandeur of indigenous French (and European) architecture. *Signed, limited edition.
